nor:sound is a label run by Norwich-based trumpeter Chris Dowding, focused around improvised, electronic & experimental music.
Distinguishing features of the label include collaborations with visual artists and an interest in DIY culture, bearing fruit in the form of artwork connected to releases and limited edition synths.
Connections are often made to Bandcamp subscriptions, both short and long-term, so far including the ‘Black Lives Matter’ collaboration with Norwich-based artist Laure Van Minden, the ‘rehearsal tapes’ release by The Tree and the Bell, and the ongoing subscription with ‘In My Experience’.
